This sub-$100 Raspberry Pi 4 based HTPC is a great media streamer which provides good H.264 video playback at a very low price.

I am using the fantastic Flirc Raspberry Pi case, which is hands down the best case on the market.
The Raspberry Pi 4 is ready to replace your home theater PC, but it will require some tweaking before you can realize its full potential as a Kodi (XBMC) front-end.
The development around operating systems such as LibreELEC and OSMC look very promising, and after optimizing the operating system, it will be an excellent choice as a low cost media center.
The user interface is not quite as fast as full blown HTPC builds, but it is definitely smaller than any other HTPC build.
The following components have been tested and proven to be compatible in my test bench.
